Grandson's Birthday Card 111409

Alex's Birthday Card

Now that my grandkids are getting older I need to add to my stamps.  I had a hard time coming up with an older stamp set plus male for Alex this year.  He is eleven.  I had intentions in doing one of the sports stamps but they do not have a football guy and that is what he is into right now.  All the rest of my stamps are geared for more on the younger side so I setteled on this star set, "IN THE STARS" . The top picture is of the outside of the card and the bottom open picture is of the inside of the card.  The saying "May All Your Dreams Come True" is put on with dimentionals.  I also decorated the envelope with some of the star stamps.

SUPPLIES:
STAMPS: In The Stars
PAPER: Old Olive, Yoyo Yellow, Whisper White
INK: Basic Black, Brilliant Blue
PUNCHES: Modern Label, Large Star
ACCESSORIES: Snail Adhesive, Dimentionals, Star Brads, Circle Tags

Stacey's Birthday Card

This is another card using tin from a pop can and the big shot die cut machine.  Top photo is of the outside of the card the bottom open photo is of the inside of the card.

This is a picture of the birthday card I made for my darling daughter Stacey's 29th birthday. She is not a frilly kind of girl but she does like black and wine colors so the new razzleberry I think will fit her just right.

My sister just did a scrapbook page display using the tin from coke cans and the bigshot to cut the dies out. I could not wait to try out the idea using it with a card so this is my idea. All the flowers and centers on the front of the card are made using tin from a pop can ran through the bigshot dies. The leaf twigs are also cut from a die using cardstock and that is ribbon behind the leaves.

On the inside I used stampes with matching inks then smaller buttons. The wording on the inside is special to me because it took me a while before I got pregnant for Stacey and when I did it was a wish come true for me.

Mariah's 13th Birthday Card

I was busy this weekend getting caught up on some back orders.  I had made this card for my granddaughter this past June then a friend of mine needed a 13th birthday card for her granddaughter so of course I thought of this.  I made up another twelve so I would have some on hand.  The left  picture is of the front of the card and the right is of the inside of the card.  It was a little time consuming to make but sometimes I feel that you need a little extra special card for that special person.

Here are the supplies:  cardstock: whisper white, perfect plum, pale plum, lavender lace, assorted print sheets for the purse details.  Ink: basic black, and perfect plum.  Stamps: It's Your Birthday, and Yummy.  Punches:  Scallop Oval, Key tag, Large Oval, Designer label, scallop circle, 1" & 3/4" sq. punch, 1" & 3/4" round punch, hand held small heart punch, Full Heart Punch.  Accessories: ice sq. rinestone brads, (versa mark, clear embossing powder, heating gun-for the patten leather look to the top note purse on the front), Circle Scallop #2 die, Top Note die, piercing tool. ribbon, dimentionals, 2-way glue, black ink pen, silver brads, silver hodgepodge.

I also have been busy for the last week with a bake sale here at my apartment building so had some time off from stamping.  We did super at the sale.  I made six different kinds of breads, three different cakes and some muffins.  We ran it for two days. I was in charge and beat when it was over.  Now I seem to have this kink in my back that I cannot get rid of so have to limit my time at the stamping table and take breaks. Have a full week coming up with two doctor appointment hopefull one of them will be able to tell me what to do about my back.

Isaac's Birthday Card August 27, 2009

This is the birthday card that I made for my grandson Issac this year he turned seven.  He just loves Star Wars and when stampinup came out with this new stamp I just had to do something for him out of the set.  I used an old floppy disk to create this card.  The large black circle is the inside of the floppy where your data is stored on the disk.  The small piece of wire was also inside. The small black horseshoe thingy below the ribbon on the right is the right protector thingy.  The metal rectangle was on the outside and made for a perfect frame for "Happy Birthday Human" saying.  I used pop can strips run through a textured background on the bigshot. Then punched them out with a circle punch and cut to fit corners.  I glued them down with crystal effects but was not sure if it would hold forever. Just to be on the safe side I included an eyelet in each corner.  I could not find any bolts or nuts around in my toolbox but the large grommet worked fine from stampinup.  The top picture is of the outside of my card and the bottom open card is of the inside.
