ISAAC'S BIRTHDAY

ISAAC DAWSON NEAR
Here is a picture on the left of the outside of the birthday card I did for my grandson Isaac and on the right the inside of his card.  This will be his 8th birthday next weekend. Here is a little closer picture for you to see.

Closeup of outside of card. The wild about you tag is put on with dimensional. I hand drew the grass in myself. I like using animals on cards for kids and somehow they seamed just right for this card for Isaac.

SUPPLIES:
PAPER:  River Rock, Kiwi Kiss, Bashful Blue, Whisper White CS and Porcelain Print DSP
INK:  Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Kiwi Kiss
MARKERS:  Not Quite Navy, Handsome Hunter, Chocolate Chip
PUNCHES:  Large Oval, Scallop Oval, Wide Oval
STAMPS:  Prehistoric Pals, Fox & Friends, Wild About You, Messages For Mom
ACCESSORIES:  Jute Rope, small heart brads, snail adhesive, large dots embossing plate, big shot, sponge, needle piercer, push pad, dimensional, spray water bottle.

Close up of the inside of the card.  What little boy does not like dino's and wild animals?  Two of my favorite combos.

Now this is the pencil holder that I made to go with Isaac's gift.  I got the idea from a past Stampin Success but the directions were no longer available so I had to wing it.  Not too bad for my first try. I am sure with school starting just around the corner he can use the extra pencils.

SUPPLIES:
PAPER:  Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Real Red, Brushed Silver, Whisper White CS, and Cutie Pie DSP
STAMPS:  Elementary Essentials, Say It With Scallops
INK:  Basic Black
ACCESSORIES:  Harlequin Embossing Plate, Big Shot, 7 #3 pencils, Spiral punch, Square Scallop punch, Tag Corner Punch, Black jute Rope, Dimentionals, Snail Adhesive

Well hope you give these a try they were fun to make and am sure they will bring lots of smiles to those who receive them. Have a great day.

  1. Oh Kathy, his card is just adorable!! I just love using those animal stamps, they are so darn cute. I am especially jealous of your grass -- just perfect. Looks like it was part of the stamp. Great job with the pencil box, for "winging it" you did just fine.

  2. Great Job. I also love the animals but don't have too many boys to make cards for. Good thing granddaughters love them! Your pencil holder is cute and for winging it you did a great job. I am sure a lot of kids would love to have one.
