Caly's Bridal Shower Card 101709

Now that I am done with the gift it was off to create the card.  Here is my card to go with the cookbook scrapbook that I made for my neice Caly to give to her tomorrow. The picture on the left is of the outside of the card and the picture on the right is of the inside of the card.
Yea I know it is kind of springy looking and it is getting awful cold here in Michigan right now but a girl can always dream.  Besides I just finally broke down and got the butterfly die cut to use on the bigshot and was just itching to use it.
I tried the marbeling tecnique on the flowers on the background by using a babywipe and two different colors of ink.  Then stamping your stamp on the wipe then onto your card to give it that two toned look.  I used the Brocade Blue and Lavender Lace for this.
The two tags on the front of the card are put on with dimentionals. The front of the card has just the bottom edge trimmed with the eyelet punch.  I did not do the second page. Then I sponged Brocade Blue ink on edge to highlight so it would stand out against the white background.  On my second card that I made I sponged the tag (for your shower) with Rose Red to make it stand out more.  Already had this one put together before I thought of it.

  1. Well for somebody that said she just didn't know what she was going to do for the shower card, you came up with a beauty really fast!! Love the idea with the butterflies. Who cares if its not Spring, I love butterflies! I like the marble technique on the flower, good choice of colors for this. Can't wait to see it in person tomorrow.
